NFL Network, says spokesman Dennis Johnson, will formally announce today that it will add Daryl "Moose" Johnston as a studio analyst. The ex-Dallas Cowboy will continue to be a Fox NFL game analyst. ... The Weather Channel, using various historical weather data, projects the 10 hottest NFL team training camps; the Houston Texans top the list. Of those 10 teams, one — the  New Orleans Saints— made last season's playoffs. ... To primp before its TV deals expire next year, the Pacific-10 is on its first East Coast news media tour. All of the league's football coaches will be at ESPN today for an assembly line of on-air and online appearances. ... Ratings aren't always the whole story: Joyce Julius & Associates, which measures sponsor exposure on TV sports, says sponsors averaged 18 minutes more onscreen time per broadcast hour on TNT's NASCAR races than on Fox's.
