Patrick's sponsor a winner
Danica Patrick's stock-car racing debut was a success in terms of performance and exposure for her sponsor.
According to research conducted by Joyce Julius & Associates, Patrick's team sponsor, GoDaddy.com, amassed nearly $230,000 of in-broadcast exposure value from her participation in last Saturday's Automobile Racing Club of America event.
Patrick's name was mentioned 25 more times on the Speed Channel broadcast than winner Bobby Gerhart, and her sponsor's name was referenced six times during the telecast. Logos associated with Patrick and her team appeared in clear focus for 15minutes, 43seconds of the broadcast.
Joyce Julius also monitored ESPN's "SportsCenter" during the five days surrounding Patrick's debut, and her sponsor collected another $137,910 in exposure value.
