NASCAR Notebook:  Ford not using new engine;

Danica wins on exposure front

-- None of Ford’s 12 drivers are using the company’s new FR-9 engine--introduced at the end of last year--this weekend. Fusion drivers Elliott Sadler (400th start) and Carl Edwards (200th) will reach Cup milestones Saturday night.

-- A survey from Joyce Julius Associates says Danica Patrick’s three Nationwide Series starts this year (finishing 35th, 31st and 36th) attracted almost two hours of TV exposure and 15 “mentions” worth an estimated $1,350,000. With three top 10 finishes in those same three races, Justin Allgaier ranked second with $516,600 in sponsor value...
